Do you think God uses natural events to fulfil his supernatural events?

I watched the history channel a while ago and they were trying to explain God's miracles with science. Like the said the parting of the Red Sea could have been cause by an Earth quake or that the Nile could have turned red from a volcano eruption (something to do with the particals) what do you think? I know God doesn't need to use nature to fulfil his plans and miracles. But do you think he might?
