I need advice about college stuff.?

well, as a junior no body told me that you can take the SAT exam at all. i took the PSAT but not even my guidance counselor told me i can do that. now im doing college applications almost done and they are due by thanks giving. im waiting on my letters of recommendation. i signed up for the SAT exam for December 6. do you think my colleges would accept my late SAT scores? i couldn't take them in september or october or november because every time i would sign up on time, it tells me i cant because im past the due date. i called them and they just told me to try it again.
