Online banking hacked?

Wow, that is sad. I was wondering if you type https:// for the web address of the bank you use, which is a secured connection. It kind of strange, because I find things on my bank statements, that I know I haven't done and most of the time it is small amounts. Most of the transactions on my statements have a number to call for each transaction. It makes it easier to find out what it was. Why do we fell banks are safe has me wondering. I hope you can get this issue resolved.
