Why do lions eat each other when they are injured.?

I watched this video on the internet and this female lion had a leg injury so she called out in her distress and two male lions showed up and started chewing down? I was very saddened to this day and this was over a couple of months ago. I just was puzzled. No off the wall remarks please.
