How much should the following repair cost?

Anyone with mechanic's background are asked to chime in with an estimate of what it would cost to replace an air conditioner condenser? The local parts shop gave an estimate of 250.00 just for the part itself. It is probably a ridiculous price, but anyway some imput here would be great as far as labor costs. It is for a 1993 Plymouth Voyager that I have owned for the last 8 years, has about 160000 original miles on it. Thanks.
